What the app stores on your device

Saving a shortlist writes the IDs of up to three selected nurseries to this browser’s local storage. It can survive a refresh or a later visit on the same browser and website address. It is not an account or a cloud-synchronised shortlist and has no automatic expiry in the app.

On the directory, select Your shortlist & storage in the footer and then Clear saved shortlist to remove that stored shortlist. You can also clear this website’s data in your browser settings. Storage may be unavailable in some browsers; the app then keeps selections for the current visit where possible.

Search and filter choices, child age, desired start date, selected days and enquiry text are used in the current page. The app does not save these to its local storage or submit them to a directory server. Your browser may have its own form-restoration or device-backup behavior.

Enquiries and downloads

The enquiry tool creates text on your device. Copy enquiry uses the clipboard only when you select it; if copying is unavailable, the page lets you select the text yourself. Open email app passes the message to your email app when you choose that link. No enquiry is sent automatically, and the directory does not receive a copy through this tool.

The nursery data download is a public file containing the directory’s listings and sources. The update worksheet is generated on your device; downloading it does not upload information or update a listing. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them.

Hosting and request information

This public website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare receives technical information such as IP address, requested URL and browser/request details to deliver and protect the website. Its services may use necessary security cookies depending on the protections applied.

Advertising and analytics

This release contains no advertising or analytics scripts. It does not load Google advertising, Google Analytics, third-party fonts or embedded maps. Passive website-ownership metadata, if present, does not load a tracking script or turn on advertisements. Any future advertising or analytics would require the privacy information and applicable consent setup to be updated first.

External links and email

Nursery websites, source documents and other external links are services with their own privacy practices. Your browser connects to them when you follow a link. Email links open your chosen email service. Messages you choose to send are handled by the relevant email providers; the publisher’s contact mailbox uses Proton Mail.
